edited mountain tiles, updated dev method
I experimented with some tile drawings in an unpublished world last week. The experiments made me realize I was unhappy with the mountain tiles in this game. I tweaked some of the tiles to create denser textures for the mountain sides. I am sitting in Colombia as I make these changes. I am looking at the western foothills of the eastern range of the Andes. I am listening to the audiobook “The Invention of Nature” about the life of Alexander von Humoldt.
The biggest update may be to my working method on my iPad. I have added to desktop the Bitsy editor with this game loaded. This was suggested by the web editor for Twine as a way to keep the current game project persistent in what would otherwise be an ephemeral browser cache. I am saving out versions to a subfolder in my iCloud drive. I am not having to rename the versions, they are enumerated automatically.
